Acid Reflux: A seminar team for 8 years having given over 80 seminars in the US, Dr. John Turner and Kathryne Pirtle discuss the profound epidemic of heartburn/acid reflux and its effect on health. From the endless radio, television, internet and magazine ads dedicated to medication that treats heartburn/acid reflux along with a multitude of related digestive complaints, one would think that poor digestion is normal. In fact, over 20% of people in both the UK and the United States report having these conditions and many people have them without knowing it. In addition to the typical symptom of acid-regurgitation, there are many lesser-known symptoms that will alert you.
Should our entire population succumb to medications that magically “heal” the symptoms of these discomforts, thereby inadvertently expanding the wealth of drug companies? Could it be that there is a great danger in the “purple pill solution” and that the “purple pill” is the wrong answer to this health challenge? What you need to know is that untreated or incorrectly treated acid reflux may lead to other chronic conditions.
