Hi All,
Can you please advice me where to get green pasture meat from? I live near Luton and just went to get my first raw milk from farm in Kings Langley. Im switching to WAPs diet because of my 17months old son teeth. Is there any local shop near north London or online shop you reccomend?
Please let me know.
Thank you.
Lenka
We used to live near Luton for a few years and still go to Wayside Farm in Kings Langley for raw milk whenever we drive around the M25. I did think that they were breeding some extra calfs for meat, do they not have any grass fed meat at their farm shop? You have me all nostalgic now wondering why we left Hertfordshire for London! Our knowledge is mainly to the west of Luton, so you may find other things in other directions from other people.
I haven't been for a while, but have you tried, on a trip to Kings Langley, Rumbler's Farm Shop?
Potten End Hill, Water End, Hemel Hempstead HP1 3BN
Munns Farm Shop may be worth checking out: 17 Main Rd S, Dagnall, Berkhamsted HP4 1QX
We used to live in Tring and loved their farmers market, kids will also love the natural history museum in Tring: http:// http://www.tringfarmersmarket.co.uk
We also used to enjoy:
Harpenden Farmers Market: https://www.facebook.com/Harpe.....ersMarket/
and:
St Albans Farmers Market: https://www.facebook.com/stalbansmarket/
Whereas a lot of the farmers markets are on lockdown, many are helping to connect customers with producers with home deliveries and other ways of picking up food direct, so do get in touch with them even when they are not yet re-opened but it sounds like markets will return in June.
Harpers Food may be worth a visit incase it has some things you like and it is very close to Luton: https://www.harpersfood.co.uk
I just found out that Lincolnshire Poacher is returning to Harpenden and St Albans Farmers Markets with their raw milk and cheese. Check out the raw milk map for more details.
Great point Venceslava about mail order and welcome to the forum. My next planned enhancement for the raw milk map is a different colour marker for farms that do mail order, so that they can be clearly identified and possibly a separate mail order list. It is surprising how many provide mail order. Hopefully I will have that done in the next couple of months.
Native Beef sell grass-fed beef and lamb in Chalfont St. Giles and they have a pasture-for-life certification. I live in Hemel & it's about 20 mins from me so I imagine not too far from you in Luton. http://www.native-beef.co.uk/
I just check out Pasture for Life, who have always been very supportive of WAPF and I'd like to work with them moving forward. They have a useful map showing all their registered producers if you click on "where to buy": https://www.pastureforlife.org

Buying a whole/half or quarter cow is definitely a must-do in this current climate. The meat can last up to 2 years though not in my family we are 8 and mainly carnivores so not even a year sometimes. It's butchered and packed in vacuum-sealed manageable pieces making it convenient for freezing.
A lot of you know us and we have lived like this for the last 17 years, dealing directly with the farmer giving him our cash to go directly into his pocket to meet his needs and that of his family.
For many years we have been conditioned to go to the SUPERMARKETS (which are neither super nor a market)
We have been sold that they are good and have surrendered our freedom of choice by sailing in the wind of convenience and comfort and staying there. It has and is part of the all-in-one place FEMA mentally. We must remember history and how our grandparents did the same. We cannot afford to lose our farmers and their excellent husbandry which I have witnessed all too often, to one day find supermarkets only supplying vegan processed recycled waste in their stead.
The cattle are Aberdeen Angus cross & Hereford cross grazed on organic farmland. They are pasture-for-life certified which means they only eat grass, silage & hay from the farm.
What you are likely to receive in your whole/half quarter cow: Chuck, topside, silverside rump steak, brisket, ribeye, sirloin steak, skirt steak, minced meat, organ meat, and bones.
Wholesale prices are:
The rate is £12.50 per kg, cows weight is around 330kg so approx. figures are:
Whole cow £4125
Half cow £2062.50
Quarter cow £1031.25
The weight of the cow can be more or less making the price vary accordingly...
A cow for a family of 4 includes other meats such as chicken, lamb, and fish would last approx. a year. Less if they just eat beef.
I need orders in asap before with a deposit of £250 to confirm the order the remainder of the beef will be required upon receipt beginning of April.
The beef is delivered to your door in or around the M25
To place your order or have questions please contact us.
Warmly
Kevin and Sonia
