Campaigning for Traditional Foods & Farming Julian will speak about the challenge of maintain raw milk sales in England and about other contemporary issues. He will also speak alongside his partner, Jadwiga Lopata. Jadwiga is Poland’s leading and award-winning environmental campaigner/ecologist who campaigns for small farms and against GMO foods. She founded the International Coalition to Protect the Polish Countryside in 2000 icppc.pl . She will speak about the challenge of maintaining farming traditions under the EU Bureaucracy.

Sir Julian Rose – Pioneering organic farmer Sir Julian is chairing the event. He successfully campaigned to protect raw milk sales in Britain during 1987 and 1997. He is now president of the International Coalition to Protect the Polish Countryside, co-launching a highly successful Campaign for a GMO-Free Poland, as well as leading a high-profile defense of native farmers, whom he holds up as the true guardians of biodiversity and food quality throughout the world. Sir Julian contributed to Farming Today during 2007 with his monthly “Letters from Poland,” passionately highlighting the crisis of forcing corporate globalization into traditional farming communities.
